Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Home Builders Association of Hartford County, Inc., a trade association, is to promote safe and affordable housing; to serve its members by striving to create a successful business environment; to provide programs and services that will enhance their ability to conduct their individual businesses with integrity and competence; to unite all segments of the building industry for the benefit of all; to encourage member involvement in the community; and to develop a partnership with the public sector to achieve common goals.

Members of the Home Builders Association of Hartford County represent the best in their industry. Whether a builder, remodeler, developer or associated trade or supplier, our members are committed to the highest standards and building our communities.

HBA members have access to a strong list of benefits including networking opportunities, member to member discount programs, government advocacy on behalf of the industry, and education and certification programs.

As a member-led organization, the HBA of Hartford County provides many opportunities to become involved in a variety of committees and councils. Participation in committees in an excellent way to get involved in the HBA and to network with fellow members. Our councils include the local Remodelers Council and the state-wide Sales and Marketing Council, and Developers Council.

Membership in the HBA also includes a membership with the 1,500 member Home Builders Association of Connecticut (HBACT) and the 200,000 member National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). These organizations provide valuable public relations, advocacy, research and representation before state and federal governments.
